Well ladies and gentlemen, once again it is me, the Smartest Man in Wrestling TodayTM Dick Chambers, and I don't mind telling you about CCW's latest show, The Sound of Silence, which took place almost a week ago.
We saw some exciting matches from the very best Basix has to offer, as Johnny Blaze squared off against Danny Valentine, and CCW newcomer/Basix trainee Mario Priamo taking on Tony Bond. As always, Basix put on some brilliant matches, but the highlight for me was when my client G-Force defeated the Funk Soul Brother Matt Burns. Burns thought he could outsmart the Smartest Man in Wrestling TodayTM, but he learned the hard way that that's an impossible task. Some may say I was cheating, I'd call it using my brains.
The next match was an exciting bout, pitting two of the biggest men to step foot inside a wrestling ring together. Representing CCW, Ajax; representing BPW, Big 50. Now it comes to something when the man representing CCW is Ajax, and 50 proved his dominance with an easy win. But things got interesting after the match. You see, Ajax has held a grudge against my client Byson since last year's Big One show in August, so me and G-Force came out to tell him that if he wants to take on Byson, he'll have to take on all of the Chambers family. We are a team, we stand side by side, we have each other's backs, and if anyone is wondering why Byson didn't appear at the show, it's simple: I kept him away from the Llandudno Junction Labour Club for Ajax's own safety. Then I hear rumours that Ajax has issued a challenge to Byson? Well Ajax, if these rumours are true then I hope you've taken out life insurance, because by challenging Byson you've just dug your own grave my friend.
And speaking of people not appearing, I also noticed CCW Chairman Mason Tombs didn't appear at the show. You know why? He's scared. He's scared of Dick Chambers, scared of fighting a mystery opponent as he was booked to do at the show, and scared that I'll take him down, and his whole little empire will come crashing down around him!
But ladies and gentlemen, I've saved the best for last. The main event, Welsh Champion Jack Union and his partner Tiny, the Sons of Silence, taking on Keith 'The Destroyer' Matthews, and AJ Hughes. Jack proving that even bikers can be as smart as me, stayed out the ring and rested. People'll say it was cowardice, but they're all wrong, it was a clever tactic. Jack is the champ, he needs to take it easy, it makes sense. And besides, he's got Tiny, he doesn't need to wrestle, Tiny could have taken down both Keith and AJ on his own.
But, to give them credit, Keith and AJ worked together to fight off Tiny. Well, they had to, neither man could have taken him down on their own. But things turned sour for Jack when that cheater Keith Matthews hit him with the Bazinga Bomb. He went for the cover, and got three, but the referee continued the match when he noticed that Jack had his foot on the rope. Some people say he put his foot on the rope after the three count, but I know that Jack Union wouldn't stoop so low. I also heard that Keith Matthews thought he'd won the Welsh Title after pinning Jack. What an idiot! The only person stupid enough to put a singles title in a tag team match is Vince Russo, and we all know how that turned out.
And to add to the list of misdemeanours against Keith Matthews, he threw Tiny into the referee who rightfully denied Keith the win. But it all backfired on Keith when a member of the audience ran from the crowd, donned a referee shirt, and Jack pinned Keith, one two three, right there in the ring, making the Sons of Silence victorious.
But anyone who thinks that this show has brought an end to the Sons of Silence/Keith Matthews and AJ Hughes feud are gravely mistaken, as this is just the beginning. What has become of Keith and AJ after their defeat? AJ suffered a shoulder injury at the hands of Tiny at the show, and while he was able to compete in the battle royal later on in the night, you gotta think that he is still feeling the effects of it. And who is this mystery ref? Is he a new member of the Sons of Silence? And what of Ajax and Byson? Well Ajax, if these rumours of a challenge are true, you'll get your answer from me personally. And will Matt Burns suffer any consequences after interfering in my business? Well I can answer that last question dear readers, yes. Yes he will.
