Ladies and gentlemen, it's me, the Big D, the Smartest Man in Wrestling TodayTM, the one and only Dick Chambers, and boy have I been busy. I've got great news for all those Dick fans out there, but first I've had a few people asking me why I wasn't at the recent outdoor show at Colwyn Bay? Well the answer is simple, Dick Chambers doesn't attend FREE shows. If you want to see me, you'll have to pay!
Anyway, moving on. CCW's hot off the back of Super 8 2015, and damn what a show it was. I've since gotten over G-Force's loss and Celtic Kid's betrayal, and am actually looking forward to travelling to Llanfairfechan. You read that right, unless you can't read in which case why are you even here? I am genuinely looking forward to going back to North Wales, despite the fact that it's a horrible place filled with the sort of scum you'd expect to see on the Jeremy Kyle Show, despite the fact that it's a breeding ground for tomorrow's thieves, vagrants, and benefits cheats, and despite the fact there's no nightlife like here in Birmingham, despite all that, I'm looking forward to it.
Why you ask? Well be patient dammit and let me tell you. Super 8's gone by and that means it's time for CCW's big one, their biggest show of the year, Xtravanganza, and what better time to introduce the CCW fans to my latest signings? That's right ladies and gentlemen, I, Mr. Dick Chambers, have signed two new clients, Bear and Maxmimus, together they work as Ground Zero. A bit of background, they first came to my attention when I saw footage of CCW's outdoor show at Llanfairfechan. I thought they looked pretty good, but they were lacking a little something, and that something was me, so I snapped them up, and I'm gonna take 'em far baby!
But not only will they be there, my man G-Force will be there of course. I may have mentioned in my recent Q&A that I'm no longer upset that G-Force lost the Super 8 tournament. Rather than focusing on his loss, I'm focusing on his two wins over newcomer Seth Skyline and CCW Chairman Mason Tombs. Meanwhile, after Matt Burns stuck his nose in my business at Sound of Silence, I've decided that it would be criminal of me to let it slide, and so at Xtravanganza G-Force will be taking on Matt Burns.
And of course that is not all that's happening at Xtravaganza. 'Disco' Bert Bridge and 'Mr. Massive' Dan Evans have fought each other twice now, and have both earned one win over each other. They have had great matches in the past, winning CCW's Match of the Year award last year, and Dan's recent match against AJ Hughes at Super 8 was definitely match of the night. Both having a win over each other, they're looking to end their feud once and for all at Xtravaganza, it's a match I myself and definitely looking forward to, and in my opinion, worth the price of admission alone.
But main eventing the show will be a Fatal Four Way match for the currently vacant Welsh Title. Involved will be number one contender Keith The Destroyer, former Welsh Champion and Super 8 winner AJ Hughes, BPW star and CCW regular Big 50, and a currently un-named wild card entry who will be making their debut at Xtravaganza, and what a debut it would be if they won the Welsh Title at our biggest show of the year.
Ladies and gentlemen, it's looking to be one hell of a show, so I implore you all to come along. The show will be on the 29th of August at Llanfairfechan Town Hall. Doors open at 6pm, and the show will start around 6:30pm, standard tickets cost £5 and can be bought on the door, but you can buy VIP tickets for £10, only available online, and this gives you a guaranteed front row seat, as well as the chance to meet the CCW stars including the new Welsh Champion. More information can be found on CCW's website, so please do come down.
